There were always rumours about that girl, even before she disappeared.

People had always feared the housekeeper’s daughter, Frieda – the girl with abnormally light eyes, who seemed to know things she shouldn’t. Olori paid these superstitions no mind, refusing to admit her daughter was anything but normal.

But then Frieda disappeared, and everything changed. Olori pleads with her employers for help, but the wealthy Buzugbes are more concerned with their reputation. And then the rumours start – rumours of other missing girls, rumours about Frieda, and rumours about her employers and what they might be capable of.
