Yesterday, William Shaw gave a brilliant talk about crime fiction and his latest book The Red Shore in the Dawlish Library to a full house (I am so bad a taking photos that I haven't got any crowd pictures, sorry!). The event was organised by the Friends of the Dawlish Library, and we were there with a book table.

The Red Shore is a great read, it's set in Teignmouth, just down the road from Dawlish, and signed copies are available again from Gumshoe Books.

This was the first event since we received a grant for author events from the Bookseller Association, hence the shiny new pop-up banner and the Gumshoe Dude on the table cloth! The Bookseller Association is incredibly helpful to independent bookshops in many different ways, and we are immensely grateful for the very practical assistance they give.
