Blood Rites

A young woman is found naked, cold and alone at an ancient stone circle but refuses to tell DI Kelly Porter her identity. Before Kelly can find a lead, their Jane Doe flees the hospital and disappears.

Soon after, Kelly is called to a brutal crime scene where a local woman has been stabbed in a frenzied but organised attack. Birds and animals were burned at the property with symbols carved into their flesh: the killer had a message to deliver. Kelly and the team discover a hidden society in the Lakes practising ancient, pagan beliefs but someone in their coven has crossed to a dark, violent path.

To get to the heart of the case, Kelly must confront a figure from her past: one who nearly destroyed everything. She’ll need to risk it all to stay one step ahead of a vicious killer…
