Exposed

When a woman is found dead in Dunedin harbour, Detective Sam Shephard suspects her murder is linked to the sinister prowler terrorising a local neighbourhood.

Someone is terrorising the streets of Dunedin’s Cannongate district, on New Zealand’s South Island – and what began as a neighbourhood joke is turning into something far more disturbing…At first, underwear is stolen from washing lines. Then dead birds are left on doorsteps.

Pets start disappearing. The man they call the Creeper is becoming bolder, and the police are no closer to catching him. When a woman’s body is found in the harbour, Detective Sam Shephard is under pressure to find the killer – and fast.

All the evidence points to someone close to the victim, and a swift arrest would calm a city already unsettled by the Creeper’s night-time visits. But Sam cannot shake the feeling that the two cases are connected and, as events begin to accelerate, and the threat appears alarmingly close to home, she must find the link before someone else dies. Someone close.

And the clock is ticking…
