Killer on the Waves

It’s New Year’s Day and someone’s starting the year with murder. Local politician and beer manganate, Gyles Sommer, draws every eye at the annual Sidmouth Swim when he’s carried ceremoniously into the sea by six of his nearest and dearest. But when he capsizes and staggers out, he’s bleeding heavily and dies at the feet of local radio presenter, Edward Temmis.

On a hunch, Edward dives in and retrieves the murder weapon – a jewelled dagger infamous for an decades-old unsolved killing. He and his unlikely team of amateur sleuths must unpick a web of bitter rivalries and long-buried sins that reaches far beyond the Sidmouth shoreline. And in a town swimming in secrets, finding the truth may prove the most dangerous thing of all.
