Jesse O’Hara is profane, introverted, and frequently intoxicated, so it’s no surprise that she’s lost yet another job.

With nothing better to do, Jesse begrudgingly accepts an invitation from her best friend Sam to set sail on a luxurious cruise around the Iberian Peninsula. The thought of being trapped on a ship with hundreds of people is her personal idea of hell, but that concern soon fades into insignificance . . .

After a series of puzzling incidents on the ship and a tense encounter with a Russian passenger, Jesse stumbles upon what appears to be a looming terrorist plot. Armed with an unnaturally keen eye for detail, near-photographic memory and her insatiable curiosity, Jesse dives head-first into an increasingly bizarre – and dangerous – situation. However, it quickly becomes clear that someone will go to any lengths to stop her poking around – even murder!
